Apples, apples, apples! Apples are a great snack because they contain many nutrients that are body craves, yes craves. Apples have many, many antioxidants! Antioxidants slow and prevent the effects of oxidation. Apples offer optimal nutrition, so if one were to consume an apple ( about the size of a baseball) everyday, I would consider that person a smart eater!
Apple Nutrients/Contents: Fiber, phytonutrients, flavonoids . Trace amounts of of Vitamin A, C, folate, Iron, Calcium, and Phosphorous. Research has provided evidence that phytonutrients and flavonoids inhibit the production of carcinogenic effects. I encourage you to eat the skin off that apple, for nutrients are embedded in that firm, rough, but yummy skin!
